Freshly Baked Communications Announced 2010 Gold MarCom Award Winner

The Association of Marketing & Communications Professionals (AMCP) announced the winners of the 2010 MarCom Awards, a competition that recognizes outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. There were almost 5,000 entries received from the United States , Canada and several other countries in the 2010 competition.

Freshly Baked Communications (www.FBC-Chicago.com) received the Gold Award for Outstanding Writing in a Brochure. Lauren Young, Owner and Writing Consultant, was excited when she heard the news. “Freshly Baked Communications is a new agency, so when I heard the news that we received a Gold MarCom Award for our first entry, it was a proud moment”, Young explains.

The winning entry was the 2010 Chocolatines Holiday Brochure, which showcased the skill and artistry of a local chocolatier. “The challenge for us was to find a way to craft the language in the brochure to compete with the larger chocolate manufacturers, such as Godiva and Ghirardelli”, Young states. “The client was happy with the finished product and we are happy that they are receiving nationwide recognition, as well!”

The MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an international organization that consists of several thousand creative professionals. The 2010 winners represent a range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.
